Centripetal force - in physics, the force causing the curvature of the path of the body's movement, directed perpendicular to the direction of the object's movement, towards the center of its curvature. It is the force that keeps the body moving in a circle. The value of the force is determined by the formula:

$$ F_d = \frac {m v^2} r $$
where:
$ F_d$, – centripetal force [N],
$m$, – mass [kg],
$v$, – velocity of an object moving in a circle [m/s],
$r$, – radius of curvature of the motion path [m]

Centripetal force does not change the value of the body velocity, but changes the direction of velocity.

After transformations

Mass:
$$ m = \frac{r · F_d}{v^2}$$

Object velocity:
$$ v = \sqrt{\frac{r · F_d}{m}} $$

Circle radius:
$$ r = \frac{m · v^2}{F_d} $$
